Lab Club FUN DAY Sun 23rd March

Bring your willingness to have lots of fun! Labrador(s) and other family wannabe Labradors
All ages/abilities welcome.

Please ensure that your puppies are fully vaccinated

This fun day is open to all members and participating Labradors….
We will put you into teams (early registration is important) for the events.
Team with the highest points wins the event

Bring CASH, your children / grandchildren, lead, a water bowl, poop bags, cover for the sun

Father Christmas Those with children please bring a gift for santas sack, clearly labelled with name, and worth max $10.00. Christmas Cake and Bubbles for Adults.

Food & Drink There will be a BBQ and drinks available for sale – bring some cash

Ribbon parade event is open to all Labradors, young pups (as long as your puppy is fully vaccinated), old veterans, those in the middle, pets and show dogs. We will be having a quick Novice Handler ring craft class prior to the start of the Ribbon Parade for those wishing to learn.

Club Raffle – online raffle open to all members

The Club has a beautiful double/queen mink style blanket, 1500 x 2 meters, that is being offered in a raffle to members. The picture below is similar to the one on the blanket.

$5.00 a ticket, or five for $20.00

Tickets can be purchased online by making a payment to the Club’s bank account
03 0149 0089402 00 with your surname as the reference.
Please email Mary Waugh (Secretary) mwaugh1@gmail.com with a screenshot of your payment and she will send by return email a snip picture of your ticket.

Raffle will be drawn at our Christmas Ribbon Parade on the 26th November 2023 and will be Posted free to the winner if they are a NZ based member.

Rally O / Puppy Socialisation / BBQ Sun 24th Sep

Come and Join us for a fun Club Day on Sunday 24th Sep 2023 suitable for all.
Rally O – Sally Felton with her Rally O Grand Champion ‘Tui’ and Luana Coulam will give a demonstration and then set an easy course for anyone who wants to take part.
Puppy Socialisation – Your puppies can join in the fun, but (please ensure that they are fully vaccinated)
BBQ – stay for a BBQ with hot and cold drinks availableCome and have a catch up with the committee!

Labradors v Goldies Sat 17th Aug 2019

On Saturday 17th August the Labrador Club will challenge the Golden Retriever Club in retaining the Shield. This is a Match Day Ribbon parade with the Golden Retrievers. See flyer for full details about this fun match day.

Attention New Members: For those wishing to learn how to show their dog we will be having a quick Novice Handler Class before the Ribbon Parade

On completion of both the Lab and Goldies Ribbon Parades a match judge will arrive and judge the match off between the two breeds… This is a fun match with lots of fun rivalry between the two clubs.

We welcome new members and visitors to our Ribbon Parades – committee members will be keen to talk to you and answer any queries you may have about the Club.

Date 17th August[ Saturday ]
Time Entries from 12.45pm, $5.00 per class. Judging starts 1.30pm

Amazing Race Sun 20th Mar 2016

THE AMAZING RACE IS ON!!!!!
THE FIRST FUN EVENT OF THE YEAR – THE LABRADOR CLUB AMAZING RACE
SUNDAY 20TH MARCH 2016 AT 9.30 AM

We have had an “amazing” response and your Committee is really excited about this event.  Since we now know it is absolutely going to happen, we want to offer all other members the opportunity to participate as well. So please contact our Secretary Mary mwaugh1@gmail.com by 12 March 2016 at the very latest, if you want to join in on the fun.

If you would like to participate, but can’t get a team together, or don’t have a vehicle, please let Mary know. There may be others in the same boat and perhaps you will be able to team up We are not making any promises here though, so please don’t hold us to it!!!!!

The cost is $20 per team (team must include at least 1 club member and 1 Labrador). Club bank account is 03 0149 0089402 00 please add your name and AR as reference

If you have friends who are not Club members and they want to enter a team – no problem but entry fee is $25 for a non-member team

At the finish there will be a BBQ lunch for all (usual costs eg $2 per sausage) plus a raffle

The event should take about two and half hours and dogs of all ages can come providing they are fully vaccinated
