Fun day 13th April 2014

Sunday 13th April at the NZKC Grounds @ Ardmore

The Fun Day was just that Fun. Our Labradors are so obliging and they really gave everything their best shot. We began with a demonstration of the basics of Field Trialing, and after most had had a try too our Labs “Egg and Spooned” with children, then repeated the performance with adults. They jumped, weaved [ wove?] ran for sacks, sat next to food without eating it — in fact were just typical Labs.

To read more – join the Labrador Club and you will get the Bulletin

Below are some photos of the nearly 30 dogs all displaying the reason that they are our chosen breed.

Christmas Ribbon Parade and Fun Event 1st December 2013

Labrador Club  Christmas  Fun Day and Ribbon Parade
Santa1st December [ Sunday] NZKC grounds Ardmore

This was our last function of the year and the committee hopes that everyone had a great day.  The weather stayed dry and not too hot allowing us to enjoy the event outdoors.

The day started with Games, Father Christmas, BBQ, plus Child and Junior Handler Competitions
On sale we had stock, handbooks, calendars, and wonderful Labrador Collars

The highlight was the Ribbon Parade where some lovely labradors were on display.  This was more casual than the formal breed show and allowed a number of people less familiar with the show ring, to give showing a go.

Below are some photos from the games we started the day off with.
